Humberside Police officer PC Christopher Lings accused of sexually assaulting woman at work Christmas party

A Humberside Police officer is accused of sexually assaulting two of his female colleagues with one of the alleged attacks taking place at a work Christmas party.

PC Christopher Lings is facing a police misconduct hearing following the allegations involving two officers he is said to have assaulted on two separate occasions.

He is alleged to have made personal and derogatory sexual comments to the first woman at her home in March 2020, before subjecting her to unwanted touching and pushing her onto a bed.

PC Lings is accused of placing his hands on the woman’s leg and crotch before pushing her onto the bed and laying on top of her, kissing and touching her.

The allegations follow earlier accusations from his police patrol’s Christmas party on December 20, 2019, when he’s said to have subjected another female colleague to unwanted touching after pushing her onto a bed in a Lincoln hotel room.

The accusations against PC Lings mount to a breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour relating to Discreditable Conduct, as well as gross misconduct.

He is due before the hearing at the Old Magistrate’s Court building in Goole on January 18.

Anyone wishing to attend the hearing must apply with their details before January 14.
